3 Ways to Banish the “Blahs.”

We’ve all been there – that sense of feeling both restless and lazy -when life seems a little “meh” and “ho-hum.”

For me, this feeling usually strikes mid- January. That time of year when all the Christmas sparkle is packed up in boxes, and I’m staring at a social calendar that’s looking bleaker than the cold, dreary skies overhead.

Here’s the 3 things that help me shake it off and banish those blahs.!

1. PARTY TIME! – Get your friends together for a party or a night out! It can be pizza and game night at home, or a champagne brunch, or maybe dinner at the hottest new restaurant. Heck even popcorn and #PrincessBride with my besties is sometimes just the thing I need. Just spending time with special people and having SOMETHING on the calendar to look forward to automatically makes me feel better.

2. Try something NEW! – Art class, karaoke, journaling, axe -throwing (that’s seriously fun!). Maybe try a new restaurant, a new shade of polish, a new recipe. Try taking a new route to work, learn a new skill or start a new project. You get the idea – there’s literally hundreds of NEW things to try – now’s the time!

3. When in doubt, DANCE IT OUT! – There’s something magical about putting on some really great tunes and just dancing it out (the crazier the better). Try it the next time you’re feeling a bit blah…I bet you’ll feel better!.
