How to make Strawberry Mojitos Perfect for Summer!

Strawberry mojitos are perfect for summer! What’s not to love?! Lime, mint, berries and a splash of rum combine to make a crisp, light and refreshing cocktail that’s will keep you cool as temperatures start to rise.

This recipe gives the classic mojito is a strawberry twist, but you can substitute any berry you like to create a version that’s all your own. I especially like to change it up as the different berries come into season to create a cocktail with the freshest ingredients. Blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries all make for a delicious substitute. Or if you’re looking to offer a mocktail with berries – try this Raspberry Orange Mocktail.

strawberry mojito

Ingredients

  • 2-3 strawberries
  • 1 lime (cut in 6 wedges)
  • 9-10 mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp. of sugar
  • 2 oz of white rum
  • Club soda
  • Strawberry, lime wedge and sprig of mint for garnish

Directions

  1. In cocktail shaker add berries, mint leaves, sugar.
  2. Squeeze 2 wedges of lime into cocktail shaker and add 3rd wedge.
  3. Muddle until berries are soft and oils from mint leaves are released.
  4. Add ice and rum to shaker and shake a few times.
  5. Pour contents (unstrained) into highball glass half full of ice.
  6. Top with club soda and give quick stir.
  7. Garnish with lime wedge, strawberry and sprig of mint.

You can make a non-alcoholic version of this by simply omitting the rum and adding a few more berries. It’s just as refreshing and every bit as delicious!

Joyful Hostess Tip: Looking for a muddler? Here’s a good muddler option for you to use to mix up your next mojito. Don’t have a muddler? Use the back of a wooden spoon to work those ingredients together.
