I was ecstatic to experiment with the ingredients in this cocktail because it combined two of my favourtie things: chocolate and coffee! It blended to create a drink that was sweet and rich (and gives you a boost!)
Naming this concoction was easy: “Mocha” because of the flavour combo (coffee+chocolate) and Loca because it is crazy good!
How to make a Mocha Loca Martini
- 1.5 oz coffee vodka
- .5 oz creme de cacao
- pinch of salt
- shot of espresso (should be warm)
- coffee beans for garnish
In a shaker filled with ice, combine coffee vodka, creme de cacao, salt and espresso. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Float 3 coffee beans on top for garnish.
Joyful Hostess Tip: Substitute the creme de cacao for butterscotch liqueur for a caramel coffee twist! Or add pumpkin spice syrup to create your very own “grown up” pumpkin spice coffee!
