It’s so easy to make crostini and once you know – you won’t be buying the dry, stale crackers that pass for crostini in the supermarket.

Plus, because you’re making it yourself – you can really customize the flavours to your liking. AND, once baked and cooled, they can be made ahead and frozen so you have them on hand anytime!
I recently set up a crostini bar for fall entertaining in the backyard. It was a really fun way to entertain and offer guests some delicious flavours and toppings to experiment with. Plus it was super easy to set up!
Ingredients
- Baguette
- Olive Oil
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Your favourite spices (optional)


Directions for making crostini
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Slice baguette into 1/4″ rounds and using pastry brush, brush both sides with olive oil.
- Place slices onto cookie sheet and sprinkle with salt & pepper and spices to taste
- Bake until bottom is golden brown (about 6-7 mins) then flip each slice and bake again so that both sides are brown and toasted.
- Let cool completely bakers rack and store in air tight container.
