Pumpkin Pie Martini for Dessert

When it comes to fall or Thanksgiving cocktails, this pumpkin pie martini is a must. It’s basically the grown up version of pumpkin pie for dessert (with an extra special kick!). While there’s other recipes that claim the pumpkin pie name…this one has actual pumpkin. It’s the REAL DEAL!

Because this cocktail uses real pumpkin – the flavour is fantastic without seeming too fake and perfume-y. And there’s one extra step involved to ensuring you don’t end up with pumpkin soup – but I promise, it’s not too time consuming and well worth the extra step.

Looking for a pumpkin spice fix without the alcohol – I’ve got you covered with how to make a pumpkin spice coffee at home.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this pumpkin pie martini for dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of milk (you can sub for almond milk)
  • 1.5 oz of Spiced Rum
  • .5 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp. puree pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice

Directions

  1. In bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs and pumpkin pie spice.
  2. Lightly drizzle honey on rim of martini glass (for less mess, I used a pastry brush). Dip honeyed rim in the graham cracker mixture and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl whisk together milk, extract, honey, maple syrup and pumpkin puree. Strain with a fine strainer and set aside.
  4. Add ice to shaker and then add milk mixture and spiced rum.
  5. Shake well to combine and pour into prepared martini glass.
  6. Sprinkle with a little more pumpkin pie spice and serve chilled.
